West & Dunn Present to Vettoceo Core Entrepreneurship Program

On Tuesday, April 17, West & Dunn co-founder Travis West participated as a guest speaker in the VetToCEO Core Entrepreneurship Program. Mr. West's presentation focused on common legal challenges faced by new business owners, and strategies to consider when attempting to overcome them.

VetToCEO's seven-week online program allows qualified veterans and Active, Guard, and Reserve military to explore entrepreneurship as a career path choice. For those veterans who have already dipped their toes in the entrepreneurial waters, the program assists them with completing their business plans. The objectives of the course are to:

  • Allow students to apply what they learn in each of the seven modules to construct a viable business model based on the military planning model framework.

  • Assist students with developing a funding strategy using what they learn about different types of funding sources and learn how to develop a complete set of financial projections for their businesses.

  • Encourage students to collaborate with other veterans with similar interests that may lead to partnering opportunities.
