With a robust background in law and public service, Kate focuses her practice on transactional, municipal, and estate planning matters.
Kate brings more than 25 years of diverse legal experience to West & Dunn. She launched her career in 1999 as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, where she spent two decades serving as a Judge Advocate. During her time in the Marine Corps, she supported combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, advised on personnel law and federal contracts, and served as a legal advisor to the Secretary of the Navy. After her retirement, she served as an Assistant Regional Counsel for the General Services Administration, the federal government’s central procurement agency, specializing in procurement and government contracts.
Originally from Kenosha, Kate resides in Keller, Texas, with her husband, Chad, and their daughter, Siena. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and reading. Kate is also dedicated to her community, volunteering at a local animal shelter and serving as a member of the National Charity League.
