Nicole Marklein

Nicole Marklein represents businesses and individuals in a wide array of civil litigation, ranging from complex contract disputes to personal injury matters. In addition to her work in the courtroom, Nicole provides cost-effective employment advice to help business clients navigate workplace regulations, avoid claims, and limit potential exposure.

Nicole’s expertise is recognized both statewide and nationally. She is a Fellow of the exclusive Litigation Counsel of America and a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), which is comprised of peer-reviewed leaders in the civil defense, corporate legal and insurance industries. Consistently named a Super Lawyer, Nicole frequently speaks and writes on civil litigation and employment law topics, offering specialized counsel to peers throughout the legal community.

Deeply committed to her profession, Nicole is a Past President of the Wisconsin Defense Counsel and currently serves as the Wisconsin State Representative for DRI. She represents the civil trial defense bar on the Wisconsin Civil Justice Council. Nationally, Nicole chairs DRI’s State Legislation and Rules Task Force. She is also a member of the national Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and serves as the Vice Chair of its Women of the ADTA Committee. Locally, she serves on the Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation Board and is a past president of both the Baraboo Area Chamber and the Rotary Club of Baraboo.

A lifelong Wisconsin resident and a proud Badger, Nicole earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She recently earned a Certificate in Spanish Proficiency and is working toward full fluency. When she isn’t practicing law, Nicole’s schedule revolves around college, professional and fantasy football. She also enjoys live music and outdoor activities.
