Ty Gasparek is an attorney at West & Dunn whose practice focuses on criminal defense. He attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison for both his undergraduate and his law degree.

He first became interested in criminal law while representing clients through the Criminal Appeals Project in law school, and began working as an Assistant State Public Defender immediately upon graduation in 2019. Throughout his seven years as a public defender Ty represented hundreds of clients in a wide range of criminal matters ranging from simple disorderly conduct to first-degree intentional homicide charges.

He enjoys getting to know his clients and working with them to achieve their goals for their unique cases. He understands that the criminal justice process can be overwhelming and intimidating, particularly for people who have never previously been accused of a crime. Whether a client is seeking to have their case heard in front of a jury, to have charges dismissed through litigation, or to simply be treated fairly throughout the plea process, Ty wants to work with his clients to try to reach the best possible outcome for them.

Ty grew up in the small village of Valders, Wisconsin, and currently lives in the Fox Valley. He served in the Army National Guard for seven years. Outside the office, he enjoys spending as much time as possible enjoying the Wisconsin outdoors with his wife and daughters and following the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Liverpool F.C.
