Jon's practice at West & Dunn focuses on providing exceptional service to veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. As an associate attorney with the firm, Jon works diligently to resolve complex problems with skillful and thoughtful representation, as well as with compassion for his clients.
Jon’s experience has prepared him to assist clients both in and outside of the courtroom. Prior to joining West & Dunn, Jon worked as a student advocate with the Wisconsin Innocence Project and as a clerk with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois. In those capacities, Jon gained first-hand experience drafting complex briefs and arguing motions in the courtroom.
During law school at the University of Wisconsin, Jon was a Dean’s List student, receiving the highest grade in several courses and the Bruce Beilfuss Memorial Scholarship for outstanding service to the Law School. In addition to these achievements, Jon was an article editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal and a two-time competitor in national mock trial competitions. Jon brings this same dedication to excellent legal writing and courtroom advocacy to serve West & Dunn’s clients.
Jon was recognized by the Dane County Bar Association and Wisconsin State Bar as a member of its 2019 Pro Bono Honor Roll for his work assisting veterans before the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
